I've never had a professional facial — where do I start? Start with a skincare consultation or a Signature HydraFacial. The consultation takes the guesswork out — Tristan or Paige will assess your skin thoroughly and give you a clear, practical plan before you commit to anything. The Signature HydraFacial is an excellent first professional treatment for almost any skin type — immediate results, zero downtime, and a great introduction to what professional skincare can achieve.
How is ZO Skin Health different from drugstore skincare? ZO products contain significantly higher concentrations of active ingredients — retinol, antioxidants, exfoliating agents — than anything available over the counter. They're formulated to penetrate the dermis where real skin change happens, not just sit on the surface. Patients who switch to ZO or Plated consistently report visible improvement in skin quality within weeks. We guide every patient through which products are appropriate for their specific skin type and concern.
Is lash lift safe for sensitive eyes? Lash lift is generally well-tolerated even for sensitive eyes when performed by a trained esthetician using quality products. We do a brief health history review before lash services. Patients with very sensitive eyes, recent eye surgery, or certain eye conditions may not be candidates. If you have concerns, mention them when booking and we'll confirm whether the service is appropriate for you.
What's the difference between HydraFacial and a custom facial? HydraFacial uses a specific device with patented vortex technology — it cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and infuses serums in a standardized 3-step process customized by serum selection. A custom facial is built entirely from scratch — every cleanser, exfoliant, serum, and masque is selected by your esthetician based on your skin that day. HydraFacial is excellent for most concerns. Custom facials are better for specific persistent issues like cystic acne, rosacea, or severe dehydration where complete flexibility is the priority.
Can I get a facial if I'm also getting Botox or filler? Yes — and we coordinate the timing to make sure treatments complement rather than interfere with each other. Generally we recommend waiting 2 weeks after injectables before a facial. Because we're an integrated practice, Tristan and Paige coordinate directly with Julie to sequence your appointments correctly so everything works together rather than against each other.
