JS Wellness wasn't born from a business plan, but from a deep conviction that patients deserve better than rushed appointments and generic care. After nearly three decades in healthcare—spanning hospital floors, clinics, and a medical mission trip deep into the Amazon—Julie Skinner, APRN, FNP-BC, saw firsthand the life-changing power of relationship-driven medicine. She founded JS Wellness on Main Street in her home community of Eudora, Kansas, to offer an alternative to high-volume clinics where patients are often treated as mere chart numbers.
By deliberately keeping the practice small and personal, Julie and her team ensure that the patient is always at the center of every decision. The clinic seamlessly integrates evidence-based functional medicine with advanced aesthetics, treating the whole person from the inside out. Whether analyzing comprehensive lab work to address root causes of fatigue and hormone imbalance or providing customized skin rejuvenation, every treatment plan is entirely individualized to the person's unique life and goals.

Julie Skinner is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with nearly 30 years of direct patient care experience. Her clinical expertise spans functional medicine, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and medical weight loss programs. Additionally, she is an advanced aesthetic injector and certified laser provider trained in state-of-the-art rejuvenation treatments.
Career Background
Julie’s healthcare career began at age 16 working in a nursing home, an experience that instinctively shaped her compassionate approach to patient care. Over the decades, she expanded her skills across hospital floors, outpatient clinics, and a medical mission trip deep into the Amazon rainforest. Driven by a desire to treat the root causes of illness rather than just managing symptoms, she ultimately transitioned her practice to focus on holistic, integrative health and aesthetic wellness.
Why Eudora
Julie intentionally chose to build JS Wellness in her home community of Eudora to bring elite functional medicine and advanced aesthetics directly to Main Street. Her goal is to ensure her neighbors and residents across Douglas, Johnson, and surrounding counties can access top-tier wellness care without a long commute to the city. As an independent, locally owned practice rather than a franchise, the clinic is deeply invested in raising the bar for local community health.
Outside the Clinic
When she is not caring for patients, Julie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their children. They manage a lively household complete with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and honey bees. She brings the same energy, dedication, and nurturing care to her family life and homestead as she does to her clinic.
