Neurotoxin

While "Botox" is commonly recognized as the go-to treatment for wrinkle relaxation, there are several FDA-approved neurotoxin options available to soften wrinkles and lines. Just as "Kleenex" is often used interchangeably with tissues, "Botox" has become synonymous with wrinkle-relaxing treatments. However, other FDA-approved options, including Jeuveau, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify, offer similar benefits.

At JS Wellness, our preferred neurotoxin option is Jeuveau. We favor Jeuveau due to its limited preservatives and additives, as well as its ability to provide more precise placement compared to other neurotoxin options. Its reduced spread allows for targeted treatment, resulting in optimal and natural-looking results for our patients

Neurotoxin or "tox" such as Botox, Jeuveau, Zeomin, and Dysport can help smooth lines and reduce wrinkles on forehead, around mouth, crow's feet, 11's and more. At Js Wellness medical spa we can help you achieve your smooth self. Serving the Eudora, Lawrence, DeSoto, Tonganoxie, Linwood and surrounding areas.

Jeuveau

Jeuveau (prabotulinimtoxinA), manufactured by Evolus, is an injectable treatment utilized to temporarily enhance the appearance of moderate lines and wrinkles. By targeting specific muscles, Jeuveau works to block nerve signals that cause muscle movement, resulting in a smoother, rejuvenated appearance. Initial results can typically be observed within 3-5 days, with full effects becoming apparent after approximately 14 days. These effects generally last for around 3-4 months.

Common areas treated with Jeuveau injections include:

  • Frown lines or "11's"

  • Forehead lines

  • Crow's feet around the eyes

  • Gummy smile or lip flip

  • Teeth clenching

  • Dimpled or pebbled chin

  • Eyebrow lift

  • Nefertiti Neck lift

  • Excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Potential side effects of Jeuveau injections may include pain at the injection site, swelling or bruising, headache, droopy eyelids or crooked eyebrows, crooked smile or drooling, watery or dry eyes, or infection at the injection site. However, these effects are typically temporary and will diminish over time.

To minimize the risk of bruising from injections, it is advisable to avoid alcohol and blood thinners such as aspirin, omega-3 fatty acids, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or St. John's Wort for 5-7 days prior to treatment. Patients should also refrain from lying flat for 3 hours following injections and avoid rubbing the treated area to reduce the likelihood of unwanted side effects.

Patients can schedule a complementary consultation to discuss features they love and areas they wish to enhance. If time permits, same day treatment may be available.
